  • As a Service, Shawmut Daycare exists to provide a loving and supportive environment for families who need preschool care for their children. We endeavor to nurture and grow the spiritual and emotional potential of each child.

  • As a Ministry it is our mission that each child know they are loved by God. We strive to faithfully minister the love of Jesus Christ to the Daycare children, families and staff. Shawmut Baptist Daycare is an unashamedly Christ-centered Daycare. To that end we pray with your children and speak with them about the importance of God and the Bible. We hope you too as parents will join with us as co-laborers in leading your child to experience the love of God found only in Jesus Christ.

  • As an Evangelistic Outreach of Shawmut Baptist Daycare intends to make the Gospel of Jesus Christ known to the children and to all their families.

Daycare Ministry for Children

What is a Daycare?
Delightful, each and every one. Our kids are special, precious gifts from God

Always here, with loving hands to wipe away tender little tears

Young but growing every day. We note each and every step along their hallowed way

Clasping our hands in prayer, brought before a loving God."Suffer them not", we hear the gentle Savior say

Anything we can do, any way we can serve, it's also about your family. How can we help you?

Remembering we have a charge from God. These children are our calling, they are our ministry.

Eternal. Oh so little. Oh so young but it's only just begun. Eternity is before them. How grateful we are to be part of God's eternal plan for your child.

Ode to the Daycare

Little children come to me
For hugs and books and such,
I care for all their simple needs
And also fix them lunch

I pick up toys, mop up spills,
And dry their little tears,
I change diapers,settle fights,
And kiss away their fears.

I tie shoes, button coats,
And push them on the swing,
I really love these kids you see,
But there is one thing.

Call me Mom, or Aunt, or Teacher,

But please don't call me sitter,
Cause I never get to sit!.

Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me:
for of such is the kingdom of heaven.
Matthew 19:14

Sons are a heritage from the Lord, children a reward from him.
Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are sons born in one's youth.
Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them.
They will not be put to shame when they contend
with their enemies in the gate.
Psalms 127: 3-5

From the lips of children and infants you have ordained praise
because of your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger.
Psalms 8:2

Train a child in the way he should go
and when he is old he will not turn from it.
Proverbs 22:6

Teach them to your children,
talking about them when you sit at home
and when you walk along the road,
when you lie down and when you get up.
Deut 11:19

Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead,
bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord
